Wonderful Home in Destiny East

"My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful home in Destin. We had six adults staying and the house and is very spacious, clean and well maintained. The home is beautifully furnished and the beds are very comfortable. The location is great--it is walking distance to the Amenity Center, close to the beautiful beach, restaurants and shopping. The golf cart was great to get around in and the pool was very nice. The home is located in a beautiful area and is very quiet. We would definitely return to this home and highly recommend Heaven's Gate. "

The property management group answered are questions immediately. We have been coming to Destin for over 15 years and have stayed in Destiny East the past 2 and love the location and the beach access at The Crab Trap."

It is close to the beach and having the golf cart made it much better for my husband who has difficulty walking. I would recommend this place to everyone."

"This house is so beautiful and well maintained. We loved the private pool in the back yard. The pool was very clean and the back yard is well maintained. We were able to bring our lab and she loved the walking trail right out the back gate. That was so nice for walks and potty breaks!!! The golf cart was a wonderful perk to have. We used it everyday. We took it shopping, to the beach and would take it to dinner. Made parking a breeze. This property is in a great location. The owner even let us bring our jet skis and keep them in the garage. We griled out allot. The grill is on a gas line from the house so you never have to worry about running out of gas. This property was amazing and we had one of our best vacations ever!!! I would highly recommend this house to anyone. Very spaceuos and great layout. The neighborhood was nice and gated. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming! We did not want to leave but will be back next year for sure!!! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home and property. We went back home so relaxed~"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Heaven's Gate. The house was very clean, plenty of room for the family and dog and a nice outdoor pool to cool off in. Getting the golf cart with the rental was awesome, we took it to the beach each day and around the area up and down scenic 98. The house is perfectly located, ride to the beach was 2 mins and you could walk to the park and community pool in less than 2 mins as well. We would definitely stay there again."

"Wonderful! First time renting a home at the beach. The only issue we had was the neighbors pressure washing the outside of the house next door. I've had this happen in a hotel too, so just my luck! Pool would have been nicer if heated. Great for the family!!!!"

"The house was perfect. Clean, well maintained and so close to the beach. Loved having the convenience of the golf cart also! This was our first trip to Destin and the only complaint we had was no ones fault. The weather was nice the first two days, not so much the next three days. Would love to go back and get the full beach experience! Highly recommend Heavens Gate!"

"It was a great experience. Loved the pool and golf cart. The only thing I might change is that a couple of the beds are squeaky (the twin in the master and a couple where the bunk beds are). Other than that this house was awesome!"

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations at Heaven's Gate. Each room was beautifully arranged and met our expectations as indicated in the pictures. It's a very nice and well-kept home and we would stay there again!"

"My family had a lovely time at Heaven's Gate. The house is beautiful and nicely laid out. Furnishings are nice - beds are comfy and linens/towels good quality. The location is Fabulous! A short walk or ride to the beach.

The house was very clean,. My only complaint is the lack of necessities. There is just enough toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, trash bags for a couple nights. There were no cleaning products so you could clean up after your stay and leave it in the condition you found it. A spray bottle of cleaner would have been nice. No dish soap, however a couple of dishwasher tabs.

Beach chairs were pretty gross - stained and rusted - and should be replaced.

Golf cart was great - we used it to get to the beach a couple times.

Management was Really good - friendly and helpful. We had a couple small issues that were taken care of immediately. "

"We were very pleased with Heaven's Gate. The home is large, spacious and clean. The pool was perfect and the golf cart was great for those times we headed to beach. We will back in the spring for another stay at Heaven's Gate."

"Our Family stayed at Heaven's Gate in July of 2016. The property description was accurate. The private pool was beautiful and the beach was a very short golf cart ride, maybe 30 seconds. The house was spacious and well maintained. The master bath shower did drain very slowly but we informed the property manager at the end of our stay and I'm hopeful it was addressed before the next guests arrived. We did have an issue with being unable to lock the front door initially. We called and they sent someone out to fix immediately. It was a beautiful house. Our family loved the vacation. There was a nice green space in the backyard for our dog. We would recommend this property. We will definitely plan our next beach vacation here!"

"We have rented from Destin Palms before and have been very happy. But this stay was a little different.
1. Had to clean the dryer vent out. Clothes would not dry, almost completely clogged.
2. Golf cart included with house. Broke down Thursday morning. Did not get it back before we left Saturday. Main reason we rented this house was the use of the golf cart. Was told we did nothing to cause the cart to not run.
3. Pool was very warm. A fountain would cool the pool water off to make it refreshing to get in. I have a pool and it works. Simple fix.
4. Air conditioning was sub par. House was 86 degrees most days and never got down below 80 degrees. Very uncomfortable to try and sleep most nights. Maybe a thermostat issue that could be fixed.

The house was very nice and clean and the location was great. Just a few small things that could be improved. Still enjoyed the stay. We love staying in Destiny East.

"This house was immaculately clean, which is the most important thing to me. We had 2 couples and 1 child. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of room for everyone. The fenced in back yard was great for our golden retriever. The rental included a golf cart which made the trip (short) to the beach and restaurants even quicker, especially with an older couple with mobility issues. I highly recommend!!"

"Location Location Location! A quick golf cart ride to the beautiful beaches, fabulous community amenities, private pool and a spacious house. You get all this at Heaven's Gate. Only complaint is that cooking equipment needs to be upgraded and we had to buy a broom for daily sweeping. Definitely will return."

"We had a wonderful vacation in Destin. This home is beautiful, clean and well equipped. Great location and very responsive management company to any questions that you may have. There were 8 of us, plenty of room and the beds are very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here."

Loved it. Way to big for me and my rating terrier but we made do. The pool was nice to look at but the snowbird special was the wrong time of the year to go swimming. Anyhow it was great. Golf cart etc etc..... thank you Heather"

"Our family stayed at Heaven's Gate and loved the home and the community! The home is well maintained and very spacious. We also enjoyed using the grill for quick lunches and it is a very nice one! We had 6 adults and 2 was the perfect set up, giving every family their own room and private bath. The living/dining/kitchen area is very spacious too! The pool is clean and well cared for too...we were there in October and opted to have it heated since we had children ages 3 years and 5 months old. We cannot say enough about the managing company, Destiny Palms either....they provide excellent service! The owners have outlined rules for guests to follow, which we were happy to oblige...we feel that the rules keep the home nice! The community pool and play ground are very well maintained also. We have stayed at numerous vacation homes in Destin over the years and this is the best one yet! We are planning on booking this house for our next trip."

"Our family was amazed at how nice this how was, the golf cart was a wonderful bonus!!! made going to the beach much easier the neighborhood was very quiet it truly was a nice quick relaxful vacation. the only real problem we had was the secuirty guard he was really rude and it seemed like he let the residents do unlawful things and wanted to be extra strict with us"

"We had a great stay at Heaven's Gate. Great location, the house was a nice size and clean, and the golf cart is a huge plus! Could use a new dryer as it takes multiple times to dry a load. Also, we would suggest counting the bracelets as soon as you get there - we had to pay for 2 when we never used the bracelets! It's in the contract and we couldn't prove that there were already two missing since we didn't count them when we arrived. We would still recommend the house and the company as we had a great vacation!"
